Student Electives
Many Medical, Dental, Nursing and Paramedical Schools encourage students to participate in an elective in another part of the world. We see this as a great opportunity for Christian students to experience what God is doing in India.

EHA places Elective students for between 4 and 16 weeks in our hospitals.

We are able to provide elective placements for students of
  • Nursing
  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Physiotherapy
  • Pharmacy
  • Hospital Administration

Dear Medical Student

Thanks for your interest in doing an elective with EHA.

One point that we think is worth mentioning specifically however is that of your expectations in seeking to do a placement with EHA. It has become apparent that a number of students coming to do placement in EHA hospitals have been somewhat disappointed by the amount of practical "hands on" experience they receive especially in terms of surgical work.

Dear Dental Student

Thanks for your interest in doing an elective with EHA.

Dental Electives in EHA are held at Duncan Hospital at Raxaul in the north Indian state of Bihar. Duncan Hospital which is EHA's largest hospital, is the location of our Dental training centre and staffed by a team of Indian dentists.

Transformation Stories

10 year old Mithun was admitted, severely ill, to the hospital. He weighed only 12 kgs, had 2 gms haemoglobin, and could not walk. He was an orphan and lived with his brothers who did odd jobs for a living. There was no one to take care of him during the day.
