Filmmaking workshop for HIV affected adolescents - Shalom Delhi, an initiative of EHA

Shalom Delhi is conducting a workshop for adolescents affected with HIV from 6th to 22nd June 2016 at the Shalom Centre in Swaroop Nagar, Delhi. 8 adolescents, whose ages range from 14 to 18 years, will be attending this workshop and learning film making skills.

These adolescents are from Shalom’s Home Based Care Program for families living with HIV.  Children and adolescents from these families are cared for and an Adolescent Program is conducted for them in which they are taught life skills, character development, receive counseling and are equipped to face life’s challenges.

The Film Making Workshop is a new initiative that we would like to introduce for some of the older adolescents who have been under our care for the past few years. Our hope is that this Workshop would give them an opportunity to express themselves in a creative way and that this would contribute to their overall development.

We invite you to contribute financially towards this workshop.

The cost of training for one child is:

  1. Rs 700 ( $ 10 ) for one day
  2. Rs 10,000 ( $ 150 ) for 15 days

For details on how you could donate, please visit www.shalomdelhi.org/donate/

If extra funds are raised, they will be used to fund Shalom’s Adolescent Program for HIV affected children.

Thank you for your interest in Shalom’s work. We would be happy to have you visit us at our Centre and witness first-hand the work that is done here.
